Hot air balloons are one of those things that just about everyone loves. There is something that is just so magical about seeing them fly up high in the sky and watching from down below. And if you’ve ever been in one yourself, you know that they’re even more fun that way. But on an average day, you’re not going to encounter a hot air balloon very often. That’s why the Plano Balloon Festival is so magical. It’s a chance to see things from a new perspective while you spend time with family, friends, and the rest of your community. What’s not to love? Make plans to attend this year’s Plano Balloon Festival, and find out more about it below.
This festival is going to be going on for three days, which gives you enough time to truly experience all it has to offer. It will begin at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20. You can stay until 10 p.m. Then, on Saturday, it opens back up at 6 a.m., and again, you can stay until 10 p.m. On Sunday, things will close down a bit earlier. You can still get in at 6 a.m., but the festival will end at 7 p.m. Make your plans to maximize as much of this time as possible.
You also have to think about buying your tickets, and it makes sense to do so in advance. If you truly want to experience all the festival has to offer, you should buy a weekend pass. It only costs $20 for all three days of the festival. But if you think you are only going to attend one day, then you can get a day ticket for $10. Kids ages 3 to 12 and seniors over 65 can get in for one day for just $5.
